HERALD:AN OFFICIAL MESSENGER SENT BY A

SOVEREIGN COMMANDER OF AN ARMY!

"Where Have all the Uproars Gone?"

Psalms chapter 2 (NASB) asks a question: verse 1; "Why do the nations uproar? It goes on to say in verse 2- The kings and rulers take counsel against the Lord and against His anointed (Christ)! Further on in this chapter in verse 6-7 it explains that all this rage is against Gods installed King, His only begotten Son. Yes, this is the same only begotten Son in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (Paraphrased). In Luke 4:16-30, we see that when Jesus himself preached the gospel from Isaiah 61 there immediately was an uproar! They led Jesus to the brow of a hill but He escaped their grasp. The very first thing the gospel did was cause an uproar! This pattern followed Jesus all His life until ultimately He was nailed to the cross. There are many other examples of these types of events throughout scripture. Elijah was called a troubler of Israel. Elijah then called down fire from heaven and destroyed the prophets of Baal and Jezebel. Daniel was thrown into the lions den for praying. Jeremiah was thrown into a well. In the book of Acts we see the early church proclaiming the gospel and there was a continuous uproar everywhere the gospel was preached. Acts 2 the Holy Spirit was poured out and the whole city was in an uproar! Acts 3 the Lord used Peter & John to heal a man and the ongoing uproar ensued. Paul put entire cities and even regions into uproars everywhere he went because everywhere he went Paul preached the gospel! Acts 17:1-9, Acts 19:21-20:1 & Acts 21:27-23:11. In Acts 7 Stephen preached the gospel and an entire city raged and killed him.

Where and why have all the uproars gone?

John 16:7-11 tells us that the Holy Spirit will convict the world of sin, righteousness & judgment. We also know from Acts 5:32 that God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey Him. In John 14:21-26 Jesus says again the Holy Spirit is given to those who keep His commandments! In Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus commands us to go and preach the gospel, to baptize in His name, and to teach them to observe all things that Jesus commanded us to do! We always leave the last part out, which is disobedience. It is clear that if we do not obey Christ's command to go we will not be receiving the Holy Spirit! All through Paul's teachings he spoke of being saved through the power of God and not by persuasive speech or argument. Why, because we can't convict, the Holy Spirit does that. When we try to convict we negate the power of the Holy Spirit! It's no wonder hardly anyone is saved in our country. We have been taught to argue the gospel rather than to proclaim the gospel. In case you need it right now the gospel can be found in many places one of which is 1 Corinthians 15:1-6. Six verses only! Acts 1:8 says we will be getting power when the Holy Spirit comes. In 1 Corinthians 1:18 it says the preaching of the cross is the power of God. Note they are one and the same! The Holy Spirit is the power of God and so is the preaching of the gospel and so is the preaching of the cross. 1 Corinthians 1:19 says this preaching is so God can judge. Let's start to put these pieces together. In order to be filled with the Holy Spirit in an ongoing way we must obey God which includes the great commission to preach the gospel and teach obedience to all Christ's commands.

Many of us have prayed for God to pour out His Spirit on us and on our lands. God has given us the keys to this but we have refused them in many ways. Check and see on this list below where you might be missing it. I have and I am changing! I wish like Paul to say I am innocent of the blood of all men because I taught and warned every man!

Do I know and preach the gospel?  Do I know and teach the Lords commands? Do I argue and reason with people about Christ in such a way that negates Gods power?  Do I preach to all or decide when I want to share? This is judging others unworthy of salvation and putting their blood on our hands. Am I getting along so well with others that I do not offend, when it is clear that wherever the gospel was preached there was offence? Jesus says woe to us when men speak well of us, for so they spoke well of the false prophets!  Are my cities getting along with me or are there at least some of them in an uproar. Did you know that part of Gods guidance in your life is in the scripture Matthew 10:23 "When they persecute you in one city flee to the next? Why does it say this? It's because when we're really obeying God to preach the gospel there will be uproars to the point that cities will reject us! When was the last time your city sent you packing? For me it's been 11 years. God forgive me this wrong. I can see that as true apostolic anointing comes, the uproars are soon to follow. It is coming! Are you really ready?

Finally, I would like to warn you in love about the consequences for not doing what the Lord has told us in regards to preaching the gospel. According to Christ those who don't preach will go to hell! This is made clear in Matthew 10:10-39. In verse 28 Jesus says do not fear those who can kill the body! There is no guarantee that you will be spared. In verse 27 he had just told them to proclaim His word publicly! If you do not proclaim Christ publicly verse 28 says to fear Him who can put you in hell. In verse 38-39 Jesus says that you must take up your cross, lose your life for His sake or you will lose your life! The cross is the power of God and the preaching of God. The loss of life is going to hell! Mark 8:38 says if we are ashamed of Christ He will be ashamed of us before His Father. If Christ doesn't speak up for you in heaven then how will you be saved? God takes this very serious! Hell awaits those who will not obey Him in this! This article could not contain all the warnings in scripture about this. Ezekiel warns of us being guilty of blood when we see our brother or even the wicked living in sin and we do not warn them. Surely this is what Paul was speaking of when He said I am innocent of the blood of all men. Our generation is not so. Some of you scholars have learned in the bible that blood guiltiness curses a land. Sure we have abortion and we are appalled, but we are not appalled that before God at this moment we stand guilty of the blood of many people and perhaps an entire generation. It is time to repent of our fear of men, cowardice and slothfulness. All cowards go to hell (Revelations 21:8). We have prided ourselves on being spiritual yet we have only a form of Godliness and have denied its power. If we do not turn from our wickedness we will find ourselves in Christ's judgment, as those in Matthew 7:21-23 of whom Christ said depart from me I never knew you. Shall we repent or shall we continue on our merry and broad way to hell. I think it's high time for some uproars! Be brave and be obedient!

May God guide you into His truth and His power!

Apostle Steve
